BAKING ESSENTIALS

When we bake we need the following basic tools:

  • Stand mixer or hand mixer
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Glass or silicone measuring cup for liquids
  • Sifter, tammy strainer or mesh strainer
  • Plastic, glass or stainless steel mixing bowl
  • A silicone or plastic spatula
  • Parchment paper
  • Cookie cutters (included in our box)
  • Pans
    • Cupcakes/muffins pan
    • Cookie sheet for cookies and macarons
    • Food illusions cake: any pan 8″ or larger, round or square
    • Under the sea cake: 5″ round pan (the cake can not be larger than 5″)

Each recipe has a detailed list of ingredients. This is a general list of all the needed ingredients for the camp recipes.

Baking ingredients:

  • All-purpose or Cake flour
  • Milk (preferably whole milk)
  • Granulated sugar
  • Unsalted butter
  • Baking powder
  • Salt (best is Kosher salt or Crystal salt)
  • ¬†Large eggs
  • Vanilla extract or vanilla imitation
  • Almond flour (for macarons)
  • Powdered sugar (for macarons)
