LET’S BAKE

Welcome to the baking section of the camp.

For each day of camp you have to have ready the pastry that we will use that day.

We recommend basking in advance, even a week in advance, so you have no surprises.

After you bake you should place your pastries in a sealed container (or wrap them) and put them in the freezer.

First step will be to check the baking essentials section and see what tools and supplies you will need.

Then go ahead and bake using our recipes or your family recipes. The goal is to have your pastries ready for each day.

You will need these pastries for the week:

Minions Theme Week:

Cupcakes– 6 cupcakes (can be any flavor, not too high dome, no icing). After baking you should freeze the cupcakes and keep them fresh until it’s time to use them..

Cookie Cake: 2 large oval cookies (Use the large yellow oval cutter) that your kids will make using the cookie cutter that we sent. The cookies can be made some days ahead of the class. Cookie tins are the best way to store them over the counter, but a cardboard box or a plastic container will do as well. We recommend making an extra cookie in case one of them breaks.

French Macarons: Use the French Macarons we sent you, or make your own.

Cake: you should have an oval cake and 3 Rice Krispies treats bars. Bake an 8″ cake or bigger, and use the yellow oval cutter to mark the cutting lines. Then use a serrated knife to cut the cake to the oval shape. Please level the cake, using a knife, so the top is flat (do not cut too much as we need at least 1.5″ tall cake). Once you have the cake cut and leveled, place the wrapped cake in the freezer.

Disney Theme Week:

Cupcakes– 4 cupcakes (can be any flavor, not too high dome, no icing). After baking you should freeze the cupcakes and keep them fresh until it’s time to use them.

Cookies– 5 Sugar cookies (use the Aladdin purple cookie and the frame cutters, not the castle ) . Make 2 cookies of each shape, in case one breaks. Please use our recipe as other recipes might change the shape of the cookie in the baking process.  The cookies can be made some days ahead of the class. Cookie tins are the best way to store them over the counter, but a cardboard box or a plastic container will do as well.

Chocolate Covered Oreos– 5 Chocolate covered Oreos (not provided). You can use any type of Oreo or similar cookies (not Oreo Thins). We sent you the melting chocolate to make the 5 cookies using the chocolate cookie mold. Watch the video in the let’s bake it section.

Cake– 1 layer of a 5″ diameter cake. The cake should be 1.5″ tall. If you do not have the 5″ pan, use a template below to cut out the cake.  Please level the cake, using a knife, so the top is flat (do not cut too much as we need at least 1.5″ tall cake). Once you have the cake cut and leveled, place the wrapped cake in the freezer.
